Solstice Solace

Happy winter solstice my bloggies:

I've been away from SL for far to long. A few things have changed. For instance, what the hell happened at the Silent sim? Some sort of blinding modern whiteness has eaten it! I'm so sad. A small solace though, it occurred to me that the endless glowing white walls could be an excellent back drop for photography.

I had to return to SL because I heard Paper Couture released their Fall collection (Yes I know, that was months ago... just let me catch up for goodness sakes). So here I am floating in the bright void of Silent in one new and one old Paper Couture dress.

First the Newish: "Magpie" dress with one of PC's fabulous wigs from last season and "Dahlia" skin by Mia Snow, of course. Paper Couture has got to be one of the most exciting fashion design groups in SL. But when I saw the little video promoting the Fall line my jaw dropped open and I gasped out loud "Who are these girls?" Seriously, it sent shivers all through me.

And the Oldish: "Rode Island" from PC's Spring collection with "Sushi" hair by Coif. Now this is just the sort of outfit I would wear to the old Silent sim. But I can always wear it while strolling about Tableau which thankfully hasn't changed a bit.
You can find Paper Couture's past collections for sale at Shop Onrez.

Iza Luni Muni Girl!

Yay, MOON!

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

Before We're Cast Out of the NPIRL Garden

The Not Possible In Real Life Garden project sponsored by Rezzable is closing June 23rd!! You can learn all about the artists and the amazing freebies available at their website. So for goodness sakes, go play in the garden before it's gone! SLURL

While I was observing the exotic wildlife I wondered what would happen if I tried to ride on one. My conclusion is that they did not appreciate my experiment AT ALL.

SUMMER IS HERE!

Hey Bloggiemuffins:

Happy Summer Solstice! For me the long days mean there's time for both high fashion and getting into cat fights on the beach!

Today I'm sporting my favorite bikini by Amerie's Naughty that was and may still be grabbable for free. I'm also showcasing some of the goodies Ellie Celt of Eat Rice dropped on me a while back.

From Eat Rice:
Hair: "Puety" (love it!)
Skin: "Lydia Plain Black-Eye" (you should see the other girl!)
"Neko Ears Pierces" (my new favorites)
"Fan Girl Belt" (SO frackin' CUTE!!)

TY for the cuteness, Ellie! Chartreuse gives you big smooch.

I got tagged by Dot Lane on the 123 book page meme, so here it goes. The book I'm reading is Pattern Recognition by William Gibson.

"Sometimes, when she watches a good edit, and this is one of the best, it's as though it's all new; she sinks into it with joy and anticipation, and when the edit ends, she's shocked. That's it. All there is. How can that be?"

There you go and I ain't tagg'n nobody. :p
